Tee's Coming

Ok, so I have the shirts for sale. You let me know if you want one. For men and women. OHH YEA! Thats right, ladies and gentlemen. But that is not why Im writing this. This is to show what the product will look like and to see what you guys think. Below is an image which I created for my SOON-COMING Website. Who knows if I will use it, but wanted to give you guys a peep.

The inspiration and basis of these designs comes from the middle school where I worked at for about 5 years. Each one is about self fulfillment and striving toward a goal which society has made harder and harder to achieve.

If your interested, each shirt is going for $15 (plus shipping and handling,) $5 of proceeds goes towards an orphanage in Colombia, La Casa de La Madre y El Nino. Both designs are in White for men and women, and design #2 is in Pink for women.

Bar Art at 151

So I go to visit my last Job, Mechanism Digital (the greatest job ever, with the coolest people.) I walk in and see everyone and say Hi, Ofcourse i talk about my trip. And ofcourse some of us had to go out to chill after work. So Akira, Mike, this new guy, Tarun head out to this bar, 151, and relax. At the table there is a paper table cloth and along with it are crayons and Tarun started to go to town. After about 2 beers and about 10 people stopping to look at what he was drawing he came up with this. (I didnt have my camera with me, so I had to take the paper table cloth/artistic canvas home.) His skills are bananas!

Getting off the Plane

I am home. I landed at the last airport nearest my new NYC home, La Guardia, Queens, NYC. I smile to myself and thank god for having landed safely and having given me one of the greatest experiences of my life. I am walking on the walkway that connects the plane to the airport (brain freeze.) I get hit in my arms with cold, BAM! and then my stomach starts to get cold, and I see a Spanish person talking a million words a minute and then I know... Im back in New York. Ahh damn, I actually made it home. I had told people that I wasnt sure if I was going to make it home, becuase of the craziness of India, and we just never know if were gonna make it. So.... to shorten this up. I walk out of the walkway into a warm waiting room in La Guardia airport. I take a turn to walk out. I pass many people. Then I stop.

I better go to the bathroom. My trip is still not over, Now, I need to make it home in NYC. (life is a freaking Journey.) So I turn around and pass by the gate which we landed and I walked in from and there is Common standing their with, I guess his girl friend.

He is just chillin waiting for all of us people, coming from Chicago to get off the plane so he can get on and go back home! Ha. Im like "What the ....." I walk up to him and say "Common, I really apreciate everything you do and you are one of my favorite artists."

He reaches out and shakes my hand and says thanks. I didnt know what else to say but "It was a pleasure to meet you" I tell him my name and say peace. I use the bathroom and go home to BK bumping every Common track on my iPod, like I was going to go see him in Concert or something. ha.... Wild!

the Flip on Life

So this is the change I made as I came home from India. I flew into La Guardia, NYC from Chicago, and before that I had been on the plane for about 16 hours coming from New Dehli, India.

Once at La Guardia I hopped on the bus with my one backpack.
I hadn't showered in like 3 days. (yep, nasty but its da truth!ha) I rode on the bus to Jackson Heights and took the 7 home. It was like 2am to my body when it was really 12 noon in NY. So I hopped on the train and stood there looking out the window.

When earlier I was walking on mountains, breathing clouds in desolate areas where I couldn't even hear my own echo. As I looked out the window I was still on a cloud, it was still with me, stuck in my nappy hair and trapped in my backpack. I had done a totally flip on life. INDIA to NEW YORK CITY. While riding the train passing through Queens, Queens Plaza and then Queensbridge I heard someone talking about how there was a stabbing earlier at one of the train stops a few days ago at that same moment I saw that building (posted above) covered with graff.

point of the story... life is really amazing.

Sounds, 2 vids of what I saw and heard

The train Stations are an experience in its' self. Wild animals roam about as people wash themselves, not naked, but right their in public. The train stations would be so full of life once sat down with a good seat the experience was like watching an episode of the Animal Planet and The Travel Channel all in one. One thing that caught our senses were the sounds that would be heard throughout India. This clip is meant to give you a sense of our the surroundings. Just before I filmed this short segment the theme song to Star Wars was being played over the loud speaker. Me and Shern just looked at each other and laughed. India is very random like that, not some of the time, but ALL of the time.

Shern, Zorba's Father Robin and myself took a quick break beside the highway to check out the view to this spectacular lake. As I was in awe when I noticed some bushes moving ever so slightly and I said to myself "this doesn't look right." Come to happened they were large bundles of grass tied together and being carried up the hill to be used to feed their livestock (probably cattle, which is a sacred animal in India.) Once these guys made it up the hill they collapsed with exhaustion. They were SO skinny. Its funny, with all the hard labor that Indians do, they almost never seem to grow muscles. I guess its all in their diet. Almost all of them are vegetarians.

Mi Viajito a la India... travlin' 2 India

(Clockwise: Zorba displaying the jungle foods of Charapunjee (1 hour from Bangladesh),Mmmm snake! (joking); Before and After, when I finally got shaved up. Shern was dying for me to get a 20 cent shave, I couldnt pass that up; My Friend's sister and I chilling on the roof of their house, they had a dope hotel. Each room came with a huge open lounge area. And their rooms cost about 3 dollars a night.)

(The Rocks at Nartajang, amazing and very old!; Shern, Zorba and Valte posing in front of one of the most beautiful mountain views that I got to experience in India; Even though I love hanging out in the Jungle, I had to go; I think thats Shern walking down some of the most beautiful hills on the most beautiful day!)

(ALL PICS in Varanasi. The top dogs! (WooFF!! ha), on the Ganges River or the Ganga; a monkey passed out on a ghat off the Ganges; our boatman, very cool cat, we took a break beside the river to drink chai tea with him and his son who was playing along the side of the river, that was really cool.)

(Walking through farmland in a remote village near Varanasi; Chillin' in our hotel on my Birfday! The room was like 4 bucks a night(Varanasi;) A BROOKLYN handbag that I saw for sale in Darjeeling. I was like "huh...? I leave Brooklyn only to find it again in India. In Darjeeling you can see Mnt. Everest and the Himalayas, I didnt get to see them until we were leaving. An Amazing experience! Pictures cant even describe the view; The amazing street food that was our staple throughout the trip. Everything cooked hot and fresh right in front of your face. Inexpensive cannot describe the cost that we would pay for all the food we ate. It was like All you can eat for like 1 Dollar!! NO JOKE! And I will have to say that I really never got sick!)

(I have lots more pics, ask me about them, Please!! It will keep me motivated to do something with them. I hope to have a show with them sooooooN!!)
