Did a whole bunch of $*%T Today - Urban Youth Project

It was a nice and rainy day today. I had an interview with this company TheU.com. They want me to do some After Effects stuff for them. After all of that was over I hopped back on the J to BK. It was a nice ride watching the city get covered with pouring rain. I of course didn't have any umbrella... so you know i was kinda short. Well I got home, made some pizza, saw this old school movie "I am a Promise." This movie is a documentary about an elementary school in North Philly, capturing the lives of the students and the staff, especially the principal who works so hard to make a change. Even though made in the early 90's this movie reminds me so much of the times I had working at Gunston Middle School in VA. It is a definate Blockbuster pick. I got off Netflix.


After hanging at the crib. I rolled out to this community center - Make the Road by Walking. They are having a Fund Raiser tonight (Short Notice)... but it is for a good cause. This place is really cool. It has so many different community programs. This fundraiser is alocating the money towards the Youth Group, which seems to do everything from dance theater to making thier own news paper which you should get your hands on.

Check it...THEN! Like I could do any more... since sitting at the computer everyday, I had to do get a little exercise. So I went back to this boxing Gym for my second time. Zaragoza Boxing Gym. The owner, Wilson, is the coolest guy and loves asking me questions about colombian music. If you need a good boxing gym... this one feels like it should have been used for Rocky.
