its a Lonely Planet in NY... sike!!

This is one of the dopest books Ive read in a while, I think ever since the Alchemist. My moms got this book to help me get ready for my trip to India. It is like 900 pages and it is not really the size book that you would want went backpacking around India. I thought that I would be dumb to carry such a huge book around. BUT!!!! After afew minutes on the train with this puppy, ohh lord! I realized that this book was the BOMB! It has EVERYTHING (well so far) in it. From pre-made trips, to the kind of food to eat, to how much to tip the shoe man, to the hand you should use when drinking from a cup! I cant believe how much stuff I have already learned. This book is awesome, it captures the traveler side of India but also background information on its history, customs, religion... ohh man, I cant get over it. I now read a travel book before I go sleep and whenever I have a free moment! Maybe India is just an incredibly amazing country or these books are just written well!

Subway Drums

This is a little bite of the goodtimes that I run into while rolling through la ciudad. These are the drummers that play in Union Square, they are there like everynight almost. They just love playing and there all really cool. (i sound super corny..ha) Me and B had just gotten off the train from seeing my Sis and we were waiting for the L, and then we saw all these people dancin and heard those good rhythms. ShabA!

menace

a classic, that i cant forget about. Menace II Society is something that is not meant for everyone, but is a close catch to reality. The directors, the Hughes Brothers know how to do it and they've done many other classicz. Google them... (these scenes are 2 classic parts...)

Bush gave no clue as to...

After a third straight day of soliciting war advice from top military and diplomatic officials, Bush gave no clue as to whether he will include that in his forthcoming plan. Some generals believe it would be too little, too late, in a war that already has claimed more than 2,900 U.S. lives. (Yahoo News - Dec 13, 2006)
(photoshop,maya)

I just read that blurb about Bush talking about the war and it really just let off a spark inside of me, because I really didn't know that almost 3,000 US troops have been killed from this f'd up war. I think I've had 6 friends go to Irak (Hakim, Marquez, Matt, Don, Nemo, Andy and Jason.) Thank god they all came back... and some did 2 years. We all got feelings on the war... so I thought i put up that pic of me and peace. Peace love and Nappiness (lost boyzz)

Brad Will

Brad Will was an"extreme activist" as some TV stations called him. But from what I can understand is that he was out to help make a change and he wasn't to afraid of what was going to happen next. Some say that the adrenaline was what made him want to fight so hard for change. Sadly this young activist/journalist was shot dead in November while fighting opposing enemies in Oaxaca, Mexico. As people in his party battle armed men with rocks he was hit with a bullet to his chest. He was filming this video at the time he was shot. You can learn more about him at www.bradwill.org

Dead Barber of San Salvador

El Salvador is like the home I have, but have never been to. So many people close to me are from El Salvador. I recently read an article in the Post by Michael Robinson Chavez that had some amazing photos. <---click the link and then view the slide show by clicking on the photo.) Here is one of the less graphic shots, but it still gives off a strange sense of fear...

peace el salvador

Gunston in the Post

So i open up the paper on Thanksgiving and i see some of my old students getting their grub on. Hey, check em out! These are mostly 6-7th graders who are new to the country and for most, are having their first Thanksgiving Feast, all provided by teachers and parents from Gunston Middle School. Ms. Meyers, one of the hardest working teachers, who somehow was able to get someone from the Washington Post to come over and write a little article on my little homies.(click here for a link to the article)

I used to work with Diana on the bottom left.

and that Ms. Meyers and my lil homie Ivan on the bottom right.

Wassup Rockers!

I just saw this movie Wassup Rockers, if you haven't seen it, see it. Its a good one. Directed by the the man who directed KIDS. The story is about some hispano skaters from south central and how their different lifestyles ehlp them survive in a world of gangs and social ills. The thing is that the kids in the movie act out stories that have happened in their own lives. Its kinda hard to explain. Check it ... the web site is also really interactive.

what i see in da Apt.

I had put some reading material inthe bathroom and didnt notice what I put, but later noticed a little connection or something. I dont know. Like old school (even Pac wasnt my fav) to Jay you know one of the heaviest hitters to Fifty... i mean I dont know what is up with him.

I saw my shoes sitting there the other day and liked how they looked. I got like 3 damn pairs of Newbee's there and there are more in my closet.

Sunset Limited

Here are me and my peeps with the two main actors of The Sunset Limited One of them is my pops cousin (the white older white guy in the middle, Austin Pendleton.) These guys put on a great show and it was a pleasure getting to take this picture. The other actor's name is Freeman Coffey, he is also a great actor! Freeman is from Chicago and only a few years ago did he think about trying to act. Its proof again that we can do whatever we want no matter when or where. bigups Mr. Coffey!
